Insight Santa Cruz receives a significant portion of its support from the community through an annual appeal that strives to meet next year’s costs through donations from our community.
The generosity of our donors has allowed ISC to grow over the past three decades without charging one cent for our programs. Your donation or pledge, at any level, is inspiring, appreciated, and necessary for the center to survive and thrive.
Historically, offerings from dana baskets at in-person meetings has been a significant revenue source, but this has not been available during the pandemic. Although we have opened the center for more events and people have begun to return, we have also been offering a hybrid option as well as online-only events, so dana basket contributions have dwindled. As a result, our events have not produced the revenue that they did in the past. Your donation is even more important now to make it possible for ISC to keep the doors open and host in-person and virtual offerings, to keep the Dhamma alive, and to provide opportunities for meditation and connection with ourselves and others. ISC offers a steady presence through this complex and uncertain time, and we look forward to creating more offerings and increasing the vibrancy of the center as we move forward.
