Teacher Led Morning Sit – 4th Sundays

Please join ISC Guiding teacher Dawn Neal or guest teachers for a silent meditation followed by a Dharma talk. This offering will take place 15 minutes after ISC’s long-standing volunteer-led sit.

Interested practitioners can attend either, or combine the two sittings to form a short half day retreat.

All are warmly welcome. Please come as you are

To encourage in-person participation, most teacher-led sits will take place in the center only, except for the 4th Sunday Refuges and Precepts, which will remain hybrid.
If there is enough community interest and volunteer support for an online component, ISC will offer an online option for all Sunday Sit and Dharma talks late.

The dharma talk will include taking the Refuges and Precepts. The refuges remind us of the peaceful effects of awakening, of the teachings, and of the community in our lives. Committing to the Five Training Precepts is a practice that many lay Buddhists take on as part of their training.

Program schedule (please note time change to ISC’s long-standing volunteer-led sit):
9 AM. Volunteer-led Sunday sit with light guidance
9:45 AM. Break
10 AM. Silent sit
10:35 AM. Dharma talk
11:15 AM. Closing and community connection time

Please return to the calendar to join an online session or learn of any schedule updates.

Attend either online or in person at the Meditation Center. If you choose to attend in person, we request that you not use any fragrance. This protects the health of our sangha members who have a sensitivity to fragrance
