Kim AllenTeacherKim Allen has been practicing Insight meditation since 2003 and has trained intensively in the US and Asia. Trained by Gil Fronsdal, she now teaches at Insight Santa Cruz and also offers classes and retreats around the Bay Area and farther afield. Dedicated to a contemplative life of study and practice, she draws from a background in science, meditation, and creativity to offer classical Dhamma in a modern context. Her education includes a Ph.D. in physics and a master’s degree in environmental and social sustainability.
Dedicated Practitioners Group – 2 Tuesdays a Month
Join us for the Insight Santa Cruz’s Dedicated Practitioners Group, an evening of sitting, Dharma reflections, and Q&A on two Tuesday evenings per month, 6:30-8:00pm. We’ll explore themes from the Buddhist teachings as they apply to our lives here and now, with an emphasis on practice, contemplation, and opening to the deeper possibilities of this path. The group is for self-selected dedicated practitioners – join whenever you feel drawn to do so.
