Eightfold Path Program
Class starts 9/10/23. Second Sunday monthly until May 15. Hybrid.
Registration recommended (see below)
The Eightfold Path Program is returning to the meditation hall at Insight Santa Cruz as a hybrid offering beginning on September tenth. This traditional ISC program offers the opportunity to explore practice in both group discussion and personalized mentoring settings. This eight-month program is for practitioners wishing to engage wholeheartedly in a deep exploration of their dharma practice through the study and teaching of the Buddha’s Noble Eightfold Path.
Using the classic Buddhist teachings of Sila, Samadhi and Pana (Ethics, Meditation, and Wisdom) we look at how we cultivate mindfulness, kindness, and balance given the inner stresses of modern life and our outer social challenges. In addition to large group meetings that meet one Sunday afternoon each month to introduce each path factor, teachers will send weekly email reminders to help guide your exploration and an opportunity for monthly mentoring meetings in small groups or perhaps individually. Mentoring meetings are intended to help you explore how these teachings may be applied within your own life and its unique situations.
