    Susan has been practicing Insight Meditation since 1997. A student of Gil Fronsdal, she worked closely with Gil and other community members to found the Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City California in 2001, where she served as board president and teacher. Susan trained as a hospital chaplain and served for two years as palliative care chaplain at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, then as Spiritual Care Manager at San Francisco General Hospital, and most recently as Relief Chaplain at Stanford Hospital. She also teaches at several Bay Area sanghas.

Eightfold Path Program series – 2022-2023

The Buddha’s most explicit path of practice is the Eightfold Path— a set of eight practical approaches to bring Buddhist practice into the width and depth of our lives. The Eightfold Path Program is an introduction to each of the Eightfold factors so participants will discover how to apply each set of practices in ways that are personally meaningful.


Pre-requisite: completion of an Introduction to Meditation course or the equivalent.
